Meet Pastor Tim -

Open Door Ministries is led by Pastor Tim and Lady Nona Jones who love God, love His people and count it a great privilege to equip the Open Door family of friends to fulfill God’s will through their life. They view their first ministry to be that of husband and wife, followed closely by being mother and father to their gifted and loving sons, Timothy, Jr. and Isaac.

Pastor Tim is the son of Open Door Founding Pastor, Rev. Samuel Jones, Jr. It is his personal experience of his father’s labor of love in ministry for more than 40 years that fuels his passion for carrying on his legacy of rightly dividing the Word of God. He is a graduate of the University of Florida Warrington College of Business and is pursuing his Doctorate in Theology. Pastor Tim’s community involvement is extensive and includes Habitat for Humanity, Junior Achievement, ACTION Network, Focus on Leadership, the BLAQUE Board of Directors, Big Brothers Big Sisters Mentorship Program, appointment to the 5^thAvenue/Pleasant Street District Community Redevelopment Agency Board of Directors, and a Take Stock In Children mentor.

Lady Nona serves Open Door in many capacities, including leading the Senior Leadership Team and serving as Director of the Leading Ladies Ministry. She is a Billboard Charting Gospel Artist and Songwriter and has published two books. Professionally, she leads Global Faith-Based Partnerships at Facebook and is President of the Gainesville (FL) Chapter of The Links. She is also a graduate of the Presidential Leadership Scholars Program, a joint initiative of President George W. Bush and President Bill Clinton.
