Pastor Tim and Lady Nona Jones have served as the Lead Pastors of Open Door Church since 2015. Their love for God and His people fuels their passion for ministry..

Pastor Tim is the son of Open Door Founding Pastor, Rev. Samuel Jones, Jr. Prior to assuming leadership of our church, he worked in management in the private sector for more than two decades. He is a graduate of the University of Florida Warrington College of Business and is pursuing his Doctorate in Theology. Pastor Tim’s community involvement is extensive and includes Habitat for Humanity, Junior Achievement, ACTION Network, Focus on Leadership, the BLAQUE Board of Directors, Big Brothers Big Sisters Mentorship Program, appointment to the 5th Avenue/Pleasant Street District Community Redevelopment Agency Board of Directors, and a Take Stock In Children mentor.

Lady Nona wears many hats at Open Door and beyond. She leads the Open Door Women and Girls ministry and co-leads our Couples Ministry with Pastor Tim. Beyond Open Door, she is a nationally renowned speaker and bestselling author of three books: Killing Comparison (2022), Success from the Inside Out (2020), and from Social Media to Social Ministry. She currently serves as Chief Content and Partnerships Officer for YouVersion, home of the Family of Apps including the 565M download Bible App, 100M download Bible App for Kids and Bible App Lite. She formerly served as Head of Global Faith-Based Partnerships at Meta, the company formerly known as Facebook. She has been profiled by ESSENCE Magazine as an “Under 40 Woman to Watch” and Florida Trend Magazine as one of Florida’s “30-Something All Stars.” She is an avid runner and fitness enthusiast.
